Bill Deese - REALTOR®
Bill was born on the tiny island of Aruba in the Caribbean and his family moved to Maitland, FL when he was 10 years old. He attended High School in Winter Park and graduated from Sanford Naval Academy. He attended Valencia Community College and the University of Central Florida in Orlando.
He moved to Lake County, Florida in 1991 as General Manager of Belk Stores of Leesburg and left Belk Stores in 2000 after 25 years of service.
He was hired as the CEO of the Leesburg Area Chamber of Commerce in 2000, served as the Chairman of the Advisory Committee of the Leesburg Business & Technology Center and also served on the founding board of the Lake County Business Resource Center.
In 2005 he completed a four year program at the U.S. Chamber Institute of Organizational Management at the University of Georgia for his IOM Designation.
He served as Membership Chair for the Performing Arts of Lake & Sumter.
He is the Past President of the United Chambers of Lake County and was formerly on the Board of Directors of the Leesburg Partnership.
He served as Committee Chair for the Retail Division of the United Way of Lake and Sumter Counties and Campaign Chair for the March of Dimes.
He was President of the Rotary Club of Leesburg and represented his club at the Rotary International Conference in Brisbane, Australia.
He started in real estate in January of 2007 and sold over 1 million in his first year. He received the National Association of Realtors GRI designation in 2008 after completing the Graduate REALTOR® Institute and has served as a Director on the Board for the REALTORS® Association of Lake & Sumter Counties
(RALSC) for the past 10 years.
During his tenure with RALSC he served on the following committees;
Chair for the Governmental Affairs Committee.
Bill was hired in 2013 as Director of Sales for ERA Grizzard Real Estate Leesburg & Mount Dora offices from 2013 to 2017 and currently works in sales for ERA Grizzard’s Mount Dora office.
Bill participated in ERA’s National Day of Giving by donating to “Toys For Tots” and writing personal Christmas Cards to wounded Veterans at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington D.C.
He graduated from the Mount Dora Citizens Police Academy in 2017
He volunteers at many of the MDPD fundraising community events and also volunteers to help executive staff to organize and monitor the police department’s fleet of vehicles.
